Skin Diseases And Disorders
If there is one organ of the human body that is very vital, then it is the skin. For one, it is the largest body organ as well as the most exposed since it is the one that protects all the other internal organs of the body.
Therefore, because of its exposure to harsh weather conditions, insects’ bites and other factors, it is thus most prone to diseases. There are many skin disorders today while more are still emerging by the day. This evolution of diseases that affect the skin are continually keeping doctors, researchers and scientists on their feet around the clock trying to look for a solution and a way to stop them.
But it seems that as soon as they get a cure for one skin disorder, another one emerges to take its place. The skin disorders may be as mild as a skin rash that is triggered by an insect bite or another infection, and it could as well be skin cancer, that is most rampant among white people while rates of infection amongst African Bantus are close to nil. Skin cancer is brought about by exposure to radioactivity as well as the skin lacking enough protection against the ultra violet rays of the sun. Extreme conditions of skin cancer might also trigger the sending of wrong signals to the brain that may in turn end up developing Alzheimer’s disease which causes degeneration of the brain. This is why Alzheimer's disease research is combined with skin cancer research in some countries.
Some of the most common skin diseases and disorders that are caused by exposure to weather conditions can either be prevented or avoided altogether. This could be done by wearing protective clothing. If your skin is sensitive, then before going to the beach you should make sure that that you carry the recommended sun screens with you. Apply them on your body before exposing yourself to the sun. If your skin disorders are caused by other factors, then make sure that you go to see doctor because it could be an indication of other ailments in your body. Therefore, make sure that you do not take any reaction no matter how mild it appears to be for granted. For all you know, your skin could as well be allergic to one or more allergens. So go for that medical checkup because your skin is important. It is what gives you identity and self esteem, and therefore it is important that it be kept in top form.
